Position Summary:
The Superintendent is responsible for the on-site supervision and coordination of field operations, staff, and subcontractors to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. This role anticipates and resolves issues proactively and provides leadership in managing workflow and jobsite activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee field operations including logistics, scheduling, staffing, quality control, and safety compliance.

Direct and coordinate trade subcontractors to maintain progress, quality, and budget.

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules including master schedules and four-week look-aheads.

Enforce jobsite safety standards in compliance with CWD policies and OSHA regulations.

Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns; support career development through feedback and training.

Conduct coordination meetings, oversee inspections and testing, and manage site documentation and reporting.

Maintain project-specific quality control program and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Track material deliveries and coordinate procurement with project teams.

Support project budgeting, subcontractor scope development, and change order management.

Maintain accurate as-builts and project documentation.

Ensure timely project closeout, including punch list completion.

Assist with recruiting, training, and evaluating field personnel.

Interface with clients, architects, inspectors, and internal departments to maintain productive relationships.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.

8–10 years of field construction experience, with at least several years in a supervisory role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ACC Build, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling tools.

Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course; First Aid/CPR certification required.

Strong understanding of construction means and methods, trades, project sequencing, and logistics.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to navigate active construction sites including climbing ladders and stairs, standing for extended periods, and working in outdoor and sometimes hazardous environments. Reasonable accommodations will be made as necessary.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily at construction sites, with exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical equipment, noise, and physical hazards. Protective gear and safety protocols are required.
