What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator/Installer position at C&S Ornamental Iron Company?
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques
- Perform welding tasks using various processes such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools including rigging equipment and cranes
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and according to codes and standards
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
- Proficient in various welding techniques including FCAW
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, tools, and equipment
- Familiarity with codes and standards related to welding and fabrication
- Experience in the shop and the field.
