What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A Lowboy Driver position at C-Miles Construction?
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Be familiar with and follow D.O.T. regulations
- Conduct proper pre-and post-trip assessments to ensure equipment is in good working order
- Pickup and/or deliver materials or equipment safely to jobsites
- Haul aggregate materials as needed when not hauling equipment.
- Ensure hauled equipment is safely and securely transported.
- Must be able to operate construction equipment to load/unload in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure truck is working properly.
- Ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift.
- Responsible for following processes and procedures correctly.
- Responsible for wearing appropriate clothing, shoes, and personnel protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- 3-5 years of experience Tractor Trailer Lowboy Hauling in a construction environment
- Basic maintenance experience
- Ability to be on-time and work with minimal supervision
- Good physical condition, able to climb in and out of equipment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
