Sterilization Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring that the operating room is safe, sterile, and well-prepared. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs of patients during surgery to ensure their safety.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize software for patient management and documentation tasks.
• Ensure all surgical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized before use.
• Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
• Exams supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Routinely tests and reports any issues or problems with sterilization equipment.
• The Sterilization Technician is responsible for processing and sterilizing all instruments for daily use.
• Sterilizes, preps, wraps, and organizes equipment into instruments trays for using during medical/dental procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with dental assisting practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical documentation processes and HIPAA compliance is essential.
• Experience with vital signs monitoring and X-Ray procedures is highly valued.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
