Logistics Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:
C. L. Rieckhoff Co., Inc. is a metal fabrication shop that specializes in products for the parcel handling business. We are seeking a full-time office based Logistics Specialist to join our company. The position is based in Taylor, Michigan. This position requires the ability to communicate patiently and effectively with third parties. Requires the ability to reach, bend, lift, push objects weighing 3-50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule trucks for daily shipping.
- Contact customers to arrange appropriate ship dates.
- Fill out shipping forms.
- Fill out Customs paperwork.
- Check in packages.
- Ship packages.
- Keep track of employee hours.
- Keep shop work in order according to weekly schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to cooperate with co-workers, vendors and customers on a daily basis
- Quality penmanship
- Must be able to pass a drug test
