We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling, calibration, and safety measures are in place before production runs
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine correct bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements
- Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems for automated bending operations to achieve precise results
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances
- Adjust machine settings as needed during production to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety standards in manufacturing environments
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, and other metalworking equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications
- Proficiency in CNC programming and understanding of CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and electrical discharge machining is a plus
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality control purposes
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools, measuring instruments, cranes, and sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurement conversions and calculations related to forming and machining processes
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of forming machines, stamping presses, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings effectively
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence while maintaining high standards of quality in all fabricated parts
