Press Brake Setup/Operator

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Duties

• Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling, calibration, and safety measures are in place before production runs
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine correct bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements
• Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems for automated bending operations to achieve precise results
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Adjust machine settings as needed during production to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety standards in manufacturing environments
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, and other metalworking equipment

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications
• Proficiency in CNC programming and understanding of CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and electrical discharge machining is a plus
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality control purposes
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools, measuring instruments, cranes, and sheet metal fabrication equipment
• Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurement conversions and calculations related to forming and machining processes
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of forming machines, stamping presses, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings effectively
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence while maintaining high standards of quality in all fabricated parts

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
