About the Role
As a Safety Technician, you’ll be the boots on the ground, providing daily environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support on-site. Reporting to the Field Safety Manager, you’ll work closely with field teams to ensure our work meets or exceeds company, client, and OSHA safety standards. From site audits and confined space permitting to employee engagement and hazard mitigation, your role is crucial in helping keep everyone safe—every day.
What You’ll Do
Perform routine safety inspections, site audits, and equipment checks
Monitor job site safety practices, including PPE use and safe equipment operation
Support and lead safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks
Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), pre-task planning, and high-risk activity reviews
Help investigate incidents and near-misses, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports using digital safety platforms
Serve as a trusted safety resource to employees, supervisors, and project managers
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred
2 years of safety or industrial work experience preferred
OSHA 30-Hour (Construction or General Industry) required or ability to obtain
Familiarity with OSHA standards, confined space, LOTO, and other EHS protocols
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with field crews
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety tools
Physical ability to work outdoors and in industrial settings (climb ladders, enter confined spaces)
First Aid/CPR/AED certification a plus
