Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing various maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, along with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. The Maintenance Person will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical components and diagnose issues.
- Fabricate parts as necessary and perform welding tasks to repair or create equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Supervise and lead maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to support overall facility operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read schematics is essential.
- Experience in supervising teams or projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Strong command of English for effective communication within the team.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
