We are growing and we have an exciting new opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Bloomfield, NM!
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations and assists with employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and HR compliance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with posting job openings and coordinating interviews
- Prepare onboarding documentation
- Assist with new hire orientations and ensure completion of onboarding requirements
Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee files
- Process employee status changes (new hires, terminations, promotions)
- Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and general benefits questions
- Support payroll processing by tracking time-off, new hires, and changes
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits vendors as needed
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Support HR Director with employee relations matters and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Assist with audits, reports, and HR metrics
Training & Engagement
- Help coordinate training sessions and employee development programs
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or in progress)
- 0–2 years of HR or administrative experience
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic knowledge of HR principles and employment practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
