Position: Construction Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee the expansion of our manufacturing campus. As we scale our operations, you will be the primary lead for the ground-up construction of new industrial buildings, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will bridge the gap between architectural design and operational reality. Your primary focus will be managing the lifecycle of industrial facility expansion.
- Project Oversight: Manage all phases of construction from site clearing and foundation work to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installation and final commissioning.
- Contractor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict OSHA and internal safety protocols, ensuring a "Zero Incident" culture on an active industrial site.
- Budget & Schedule: Monitor project costs, approve change orders, and utilize project management software to track progress against critical milestones.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with our internal Plant Operations and Engineering teams to minimize disruptions to existing manufacturing workflows during construction.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7 years of experience in construction management, specifically within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy civil sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial building codes, structural steel erection, and reinforced concrete foundations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to solve complex logistical problems in a high-stakes environment.
