Come join a great team! C&J is looking for a night owl to work the 12:00 am - 8:00 am shift as a shuttle driver at our Portsmouth terminal in a part-time capacity. Shifts are available Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Summary
The Shuttle Driver supports C&J’s parking and terminal operations by safely transporting passengers between the overflow lot and the main terminal. This position also assists with maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient facility by picking up trash around the lot, monitoring lot capacities, and reporting or troubleshooting parking kiosk issues. The driver helps ensure a positive customer experience by providing courteous assistance, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and supporting terminal cleaning and upkeep as needed. This non-exempt position reports to the Agency Manager. Attendance is a mandatory function of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Safely operate a passenger shuttle between the overflow parking lot and the main terminal on a regular schedule.
· Provide friendly, professional customer service to all passengers.
· Assist passengers with luggage or special needs as required.
· Provide airline luggage tags to customers.
· Monitor parking lot capacity and communicate updates to dispatch or management.
· Pick up and properly dispose of trash and debris around the parking areas.
· Troubleshoot and report issues with parking kiosks, gates, or ticket machines.
· Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
· Support terminal cleaning and upkeep, including light custodial duties as assigned.
· Follow all safety, traffic, and company procedures while on duty.
· Communicate effectively with the operations team to ensure smooth flow of customers and vehicles.
· Assist customers with jumpstarting vehicles, filling tires, and ice/snow removal when requested.
Skills Required
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to safely operate company vehicles, including in tight or busy areas.
· Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Basic problem-solving skills for handling parking kiosk or equipment issues.
· Physical ability to assist with luggage and perform light cleaning duties.
· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
