Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the sequence of operations for the fabrication of machine parts and die components.
• Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, drill, bore, grind or otherwise shape a work piece to prescribed dimensions and finish.
• May program and operate CNC machine tools.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as feeds and speeds, coolant flow and depth of cut.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece and assemblies to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
• Finish grinding of die components to .0005 of tolerance.
• Heat treats machined components to required specifications.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations.
• Other related duties as required.
