Position Summary:
The Sales Estimator will sell to new and existing clients and schedule sales appointments via generated leads. This position will estimate the roofing service needs of clients; by site inspection, to produce a scope of work, pricing for materials and labor and a written proposal. This position will report to the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective client companies.
- Establish rapport and developing long-term business relationships with clients.
- Make sales presentations and partner with clients to establish their needs.
- Present clients with the most appropriate solutions.
- Create proposals and reports for clients or generate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, drawings, and inspections depending on client needs.
- Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner; maintain sales call logs.
- Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- 3 years of experience in commercial roofing sales or 10 years field experience.
- MS Office, and MS Project experience.
- Previous estimating experience helpful.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
