What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Program Director position at C'E Montessori?
C’E Montessori is a growing, independent Infants–Middle School program located in the vibrant and creative community of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As a young school, we are building something meaningful — intentionally, thoughtfully, and with heart. Our modern, open-layout campus includes beautifully prepared Montessori environments, a garden, and a dance studio, all designed to support independence, creativity, and purposeful work.
We are a community that believes deeply in the potential of children and in the responsibility of adults to guide that potential with integrity, consistency, and care. Our philosophy is rooted in respect for each child’s individuality, imagination, and capability. We are equally committed to cultivating a strong, collaborative adult community of educators and families.
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Montessori Program Director to support and lead either our Early Childhood Program (Infants–Kindergarten) or our Elementary Program (Lower & Upper Elementary). The Director will play a critical role in shaping the growth, quality, and culture of our programs.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is deeply committed to Montessori education and ready to work hard to build excellence. As a young and evolving school, this role requires flexibility, strong follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. The Program Director will not only oversee daily operations, but actively engage in the life of the school — from classroom support and curriculum oversight to parent communication and community events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily program operations and ensuring fidelity to Montessori principles
- Supporting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty
- Coordinating staff development and ongoing training
- Ensuring compliance with state regulations and internal policies
- Maintaining strong, consistent communication with families
- Participating in school events, parent education nights, and community initiatives
