CEFS Economic Opportunity Corporation is seeking a part-time Lunch Aide for its Head Start center in Louisville. This is a school-year only position. The role involves supervising children during meals, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and ensuring proper sanitation and food safety procedures. Responsibilities include checking food temperatures, cleaning and organizing kitchen areas, verifying food deliveries, and supporting teaching staff with children’s nutrition, development, and documentation. The Lunch Aide will also complete daily meal records and assist with other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet all agency, Head Start, and Illinois DCFS requirements.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, provide recent (within 6 months) 2-step TB test results, and show immunization records for 2 MMR doses and one Tdap (within 7 years). Ongoing health testing required.
- Must disclose any criminal convictions, complete fingerprinting, and pass background checks prior to hire and every five years.
- Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Food Sanitation Certification.
HOURS: Monday-Thursday 5 hrs. daily, 9 AM-2 PM.
SALARY: $16.00/hr.
