Job Overview
The General Sales Manager / Used Car Manager will play a critical leadership role at Landmark Chevrolet Buick GMC, overseeing sales performance, used vehicle operations, inventory strategy, and team development. This role works closely with the General Manager and Landmark Automotive Group leadership to drive results, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and motivate new and used vehicles sales team to exceed sales and gross profit goals.
- Oversee used vehicles operations including appraisals, sourcing, pricing, inventory turn, and merchandising.
- Drive GM brands standards, processes, and customer experience initiatives
- Analyze dealership performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Partner with F & I, Service, and fixed operations to maximize overall dealership performance
- Maintain strong relationships with GM representatives, lenders, auctions, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with Landmark Automotive Group policies, manufacturer standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a General Sales Manager, Used Car Manager, or Sales Manager
- GM brand experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, desk deals, manage inventory, and drive profitability
- Strong understanding of digital retailing, used vehicle market trends, and inventory strategy
- High integrity, accountability, and a hands-on leadership style
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
