Duties
- Clean and sand vehicle surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings using hand tools and power tools
- Mask off areas that do not require painting, including windows, trim, and other components
- Apply primers and fillers to smooth out imperfections on vehicle surfaces
- Buff and polish vehicle surfaces to achieve a flawless finish
- Assist with auto glass removal and installation as needed during the prep process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Support auto body repair activities by assisting with minor repairs or component replacements when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience or background in auto body repair is highly preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment
- Experience with auto painting techniques
- Familiarity with auto glass removal and installation processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Basic auto estimating knowledge is a plus but not required
- Mechanic experience or automotive restoration background is advantageous
