What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Manager – Auto Body position at C & E Auto Body?
We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager for a busy collision repair facility. This role is responsible for the accurate ordering, receiving, tracking, and management of all parts related to collision repairs. The Parts Manager plays a key role in maintaining cycle time, controlling costs, and supporting technicians and estimators.
Responsibilities
- Order OEM, aftermarket, and recycled parts accurately and efficiently
- Verify part numbers, options, and vehicle-specific requirements
- Receive, inspect, and mirror-match parts prior to repair
- Track backorders and follow up with vendors as needed
- Process returns, credits, cores, and warranty claims
- Stage and organize parts by repair order
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
- Communicate effectively with estimators, technicians, vendors, and management
- Assist in controlling parts costs and minimizing repair delays
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an auto body or collision repair environment required
- Strong knowledge of OEM dealer systems and aftermarket suppliers
- Familiarity with CCC, Mitchell, or similar estimating systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously
- Dependable, professional, and accountable
Preferred Experience
- Previous Parts Manager experience
- DRP shop experience
- Understanding of insurance repair processes and cycle time requirements
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
