What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Laborer position at C.D. Smith Construction, Inc.?
Summary
General Warehouse Labor in the C.D. Smith Construction Yard. Hours of operations from 7:00am to 3:30pm, 5 days a week. A CDL is a plus, a good driving record, forklift experience, organizational skills, and good attitude is a must!
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Clean and organizing construction materials and products daily.
- Pulling construction related products for job sites.
- Load and unloading trucks/ semis and vans.
- Moving and loading material with forklift.
- General building maintenance.
- Organizing material and equipment based on season (winter to summer).
- Frequent lifting of 50lbs to 100lbs.
- Working and communicating with other yard staff and employees.
- Working and communicating with outside staff and employees, such as Superintendents and truck drivers
- Occasional driving and delivering, more driving if you have a CDL.
- Occasional early start and late quit times based on demands.
- Other duties as needed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Forklift certification
- Ability to work on own with minimal supervision
- Time Management skills
- Strong teamworking skills
- Able to work additional hours as needed per the job
Required Education and Experience
- Ability to travel to project work sites.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Commercial driver’s license is a plus
- 1-3 years of related work experience in a construction industry is a plus.
