Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage diverse teams, coordinate detailed project schedules, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a solid background in construction management to drive project success and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Total Ownership and Leadership
– Engage in all aspects of the project from preconstruction into construction and through closeout to ensure consistency and success.
– Provide overall leadership and a willingness to take ownership of the entire project team.
– Create vision; set and orchestrate team priorities & efforts.
- Provide oversight and management of all processes and procedures and the utilization of tools to ensure consistency throughout the project and Company.
Risk Management
– Understand all aspects of the contract: owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change management, insurance and bonding requirements.
– Stay a step ahead of risk management and safety issues through experience and planning.
- Escalate issues timely and appropriately.
Field Team Support
– Interact with the field team to create a shared project vision for the planning and delivery of cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
– Stay engaged with TREs and subcontractors to escalate issues if needed for timely resolution.
- Provide documentation of project issues when needed.
Scheduling
– Ensure the schedule is being maintained/updated regularly to support the project and is being utilized effectively to communicate the plan throughout the entire team.
– Understand the critical path and material delivery status to head off issues timely so as not to impact the schedule.
- Focus the office team to get materials onsite to support the field team and ensure the schedule is being met.
Support Client Expectations and Needs
– Meet with Owners and Architects early to understand project goals & develop strategies to meet or exceed them.
– Adjust systems and tools as necessary to meet the needs of the project. Be flexible.
- Add value by bringing lessons learned and experience.
Financial Management
– Manage and take ownership of all aspects of the project finances, including cost projections, sub/owner billings, sub/vendor payments and change management.
– Manage the Owner's money as if it were your own.
- Manage all aspects of the FOP and Project Accountant roles for invoices, billing, and timely payments.
