Summary
The boring locator/laborer position is responsible for assisting foreman and operator/lead hands in performing daily tasks including but not limited to shoveling, attaching back reamers, pulling heads and set up of pull back pipe, cleaning of equipment and tools
Required Experiences
- 5 years’ experience in boring, wiring, and heavy machine operations.
- Knowledge of terminology associated with boring.
- Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage time and work independently or with other team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attaining and Maintaining a CLASS A CDL
- Conduct daily safety briefings.
- Maintain safe working conditions at all times.
- Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Locate with accuracy using beacon to assist machine operators laying line or rods.
- Travel as required for jobs to ensure project management is on schedule.
- Remain on call 24/7 for UP and KDOT issues.
- Required to disclose personal information to our clients in order to be allowed on the client's premises to complete required job duties.
- Other assigned duties by leadership team.
