We are headquartered in Newington, CT and are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative is to support a fast-moving janitorial supplies distribution business. This position also supports the Outside Sales Team through proposal generation, market research, and superior customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service using professional communication skills
• Maintain company pricing matrix and online ordering system
• Proactively calls customers/prospects to set appointments for Outside Sales Team
• Negotiate price levels to maintain a competitive position
• Generate sales proposals
• Maintain customer relations through proactive outreach
• Provide technical sales support for all customer inquiries
• Maintain and report on customer satisfaction metrics
• Introduce new product offerings to the customer base
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements

• Degree Preferred or 3-5 years of documented customer service experience
• Knowledge of current industry trends and sales techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Superior telephone/customer service skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer applications and experience with CRM platforms is a must
• Must have a customer service mindset and be able to proactively offer solutions
• Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent time management and time management skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be analytical and have documented problem-solving skills
