Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard / Site Security Coordinator to provide full-time daytime security coverage at our warehouse facility in Cedarville, New Jersey.

This individual will serve as the primary onsite security contact during daytime operations and will be responsible for controlling access to the property, monitoring visitors and site activity, communicating with the front office, and helping maintain a safe and secure facility.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, observant, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of site access and communication. This is an in-house position requiring someone we can consistently count on to maintain security procedures and serve as a dependable point of contact for the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain security coverage at the facility during assigned daytime hours
• Monitor and control access to the property
• Stop and verify all visitors entering the facility
• Check employees, contractors, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors for appropriate entry badges or authorization
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the property or restricted areas
• Maintain awareness of employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and vehicles entering and leaving the property
• Communicate with the front office to obtain approval before allowing certain visitors or vehicles onto the property
• Serve as the primary daytime security point of contact for the facility
• Respond to calls and requests from company personnel needing to contact the site
• Monitor entrances, gates, parking areas, warehouse access points, and surrounding property
• Monitor CCTV cameras and other available surveillance or access-control systems
• Perform routine security patrols and inspections of the facility and surrounding property
• Maintain visitor logs and other security-related documentation as required
• Assist with coordinating incoming deliveries and directing drivers to the appropriate location
• Verify delivery drivers and vendors before allowing site access
• Help deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity
• Identify and report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, property damage, security concerns, or violations of site procedures
• Respond appropriately to alarms, suspicious activity, security incidents, and emergency situations
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports when security-related events occur
• Communicate security concerns, unusual activity, access issues, or incidents to management
• Assist with emergency response and communication when necessary
• Help enforce company access-control and site-security procedures consistently
• Maintain professional communication with employees, visitors, vendors, delivery drivers, and management
• Use professional conflict-management and de-escalation techniques when addressing challenging situations

Qualifications

• Previous security, access-control, warehouse security, industrial security, military, law enforcement, or similar experience preferred
• Strong reliability and attendance
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to confidently approach and stop individuals entering the property to verify authorization
• Comfortable denying or delaying access when proper authorization has not been provided
• Comfortable enforcing company access and security procedures consistently
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the workday
• Strong judgment and ability to respond appropriately to unusual or potentially confrontational situations
• Ability to communicate professionally and use effective conflict de-escalation techniques
• Comfortable communicating by phone or radio with management and office personnel
• Ability to maintain accurate visitor, incident, and security logs
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions
• Professional demeanor when interacting with employees, contractors, vendors, delivery drivers, and visitors
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
• Familiarity with CCTV, surveillance equipment, or electronic access-control systems preferred
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred

6:00 AM–4:30 PM
50 Hours Per Week

This position requires dependable daily attendance and consistent coverage during scheduled hours.

The Opportunity

This position will play an important role in establishing consistent daytime security and access-control procedures at our Cedarville facility.

The Security Guard / Site Security Coordinator will be trusted to take ownership of the front-line security function and serve as the primary point of communication between the facility, visitors, vendors, delivery drivers, and the front office.

As facility operations continue to develop, this position may take on additional responsibility for gate access, visitor authorization, delivery coordination, surveillance monitoring, and other site-security functions.

We are looking for someone who takes security seriously, communicates professionally, follows procedures consistently, and can be counted on to maintain control of site access every day.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
