Industrial Electrician Foreman

Byers Industrial Services is actively seeking experienced Electrical Foremen to lead crews on large-scale industrial construction projects.

We are looking for well-rounded industrial electricians with leadership experience who can run crews, manage multiple scopes of work, and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments.

We are hiring for both local and traveling positions, with full-time and project-based opportunities available. Travelers are eligible for per diem, while local candidates can expect steady work across nearby projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate electrical crews on industrial job sites
• Plan daily work activities and manage manpower to meet production goals
• Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and electrical drawings
• Oversee installation of EMT, Rigid, and PVC conduit (3/4”–4”)
• Manage installation of cable tray systems (basket and ladder tray)
• Coordinate and oversee bus duct installation
• Supervise wire pulls (12 AWG up to 500 kcmil)
• Oversee terminations (panels, switchgear, distribution equipment, devices)
• Ensure proper layout and installation of conduit racks, supports, and strut systems
• Coordinate underground and overhead rough-in work
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure OSHA compliance
• Track crew productivity, performance, and material needs
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or Lead in industrial construction
• Strong, well-rounded background in industrial electrical work
• Experience managing crews and driving production
• Proficient in EMT, Rigid, PVC, cable tray, and terminations
• Experience with large wire pulls and equipment installations
• Must be able to operate boom lifts and scissor lifts (practical may be required)
• Must pass a drug screen
• OSHA 10 (within 3 years) or OSHA 30 (within 5 years) required (OSHA 30 preferred)
• Reliable transportation and strong leadership/work ethic

Compensation & Benefits

• $38–$45/hour (based on experience and leadership level)
• $150/day per diem (paid 7 days/week for eligible travelers)
• Per diem is only offered to employees traveling from outside the South Jersey area
• 50–70 hours/week (varies by project)
