Byers Industrial Services is actively seeking experienced Electrical Foremen to lead crews on large-scale industrial construction projects.
We are looking for well-rounded industrial electricians with leadership experience who can run crews, manage multiple scopes of work, and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
We are hiring for both local and traveling positions, with full-time and project-based opportunities available. Travelers are eligible for per diem, while local candidates can expect steady work across nearby projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate electrical crews on industrial job sites
- Plan daily work activities and manage manpower to meet production goals
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and electrical drawings
- Oversee installation of EMT, Rigid, and PVC conduit (3/4”–4”)
- Manage installation of cable tray systems (basket and ladder tray)
- Coordinate and oversee bus duct installation
- Supervise wire pulls (12 AWG up to 500 kcmil)
- Oversee terminations (panels, switchgear, distribution equipment, devices)
- Ensure proper layout and installation of conduit racks, supports, and strut systems
- Coordinate underground and overhead rough-in work
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure OSHA compliance
- Track crew productivity, performance, and material needs
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or Lead in industrial construction
- Strong, well-rounded background in industrial electrical work
- Experience managing crews and driving production
- Proficient in EMT, Rigid, PVC, cable tray, and terminations
- Experience with large wire pulls and equipment installations
- Must be able to operate boom lifts and scissor lifts (practical may be required)
- Must pass a drug screen
- OSHA 10 (within 3 years) or OSHA 30 (within 5 years) required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Reliable transportation and strong leadership/work ethic
Compensation & Benefits
- $38–$45/hour (based on experience and leadership level)
- $150/day per diem (paid 7 days/week for eligible travelers)
- Per diem is only offered to employees traveling from outside the South Jersey area
- 50–70 hours/week (varies by project)
