Software Engineer, Architect (Hybrid)

ByDesign Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer, Architect (Hybrid) to join our Overland Park, KS team. This position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET technologies, cloud computing, and Agile development methodologies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive architectural decisions, mentor developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions

Work Location:

• This position works a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days work from home) in our Overland Park, Kansas office. Candidates must reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area, or be willing to relocate without assistance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years working as a .net Software Engineer required; minimum of three (3) years working as a Software Architect required.
• Experience with Agile development process required.

Required Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with SQL Server, NoSQL databases (DyanamoDB), and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Blazor).
• Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS/SNS) for event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of scalable and maintainable .NET applications.
• Define and enforce software architecture principles, best practices, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in Agile best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend modern .NET frameworks, libraries, and technologies to enhance system performance and security.
• Architect and optimize cloud-based solutions (AWS) to ensure scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement microservices architecture, API design, and DevOps best practices.
• Conduct regular code reviews and ensure the delivery of clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Define and oversee CI/CD pipelines and other automation tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement enhancements for optimal system performance.
