What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Counsel position at BYD COACH & BUS LLC?
Key Job Responsibilities:

- Provide legal support for the solar and battery-energy storage equipment sales teams in connection with the development, construction, operations, and maintenance of renewable energy projects in the U.S. and around the world.
- Work will be dedicated to the provision of legal advice associated with the preparation and negotiation of a wide variety of legal documents required for the sale work — e.g., energy generation equipment supply agreements, parent company guarantees, long term operations and maintenance agreements, facility construction agreements, power purchase agreements, off taker agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and others.
- Work will also include advising team on resolving warranty claims, trade, labor, and regulatory compliance issues, and other legal disputes.
- The role will require the ability to travel to client and projects in the U.S. and around the world.
- On site work strongly preferred, remote option available in limited circumstances.
** EXPERIENCE **
- Must have at least two years of experience practicing at a reputable regional or global law firm or company that specializes in technology, development, mining, energy or construction law.
- Must be highly familiar with quickly and successfully reviewing and negotiating long form energy generation equipment supply agreements, parent company guarantees, long term service agreements, facility construction agreements, power purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, or similar agreements.
- (Should already include must have a U.S. JD and licensed to practice law in a state in the U.S.)

Pay Range:
- $110,000 - $125,000/yr plus a great incentive program.
