Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and transportation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and ensure their dignity is upheld at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to enhance client care.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
Experience
- Previous experience in nursing home, home health, or senior care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs is beneficial.
