Administrative and Tax Assistant

Position Summary:
The Administrative & Tax Assistant will play a key role in supporting both office operations and client service functions. This includes assisting with sales and use tax for business clients, preparing simple federal tax returns for individuals, and managing the firm’s main email account and incoming phone communications. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance administrative responsibilities with tax-related services. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare simple federal tax returns for individuals
• Assist with sales and use tax for business clients
• Manage and respond to the firm’s main email account
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the team
• Maintain organized digital files and records (Google Workspace & Office 365)
• Support general office operations and client communications

Qualifications (Required):

• Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
• Experience with sales and use tax for businesses
• Experience preparing simple federal individual tax returns
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
