Job Description:
The BW Manufacturing Academy Welding Program offers an immersive, real-world path to earning a Technical Diploma in Welding, with paid education, on-the-job training, and a full-time position after graduation. This custom 2-year training program is designed for welding students and future fabricators looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing. BW Papersystems will sponsor your education through Northcentral Technical College (NTC) while you gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside skilled professionals in our Phillips, WI facility. Instruction time, travel, and tuition are paid—and all participants will be trained in key welding, fabrication, and safety skills essential for success in a production environment.
Program Highlights:
This is an Apprentice Role, full-time position with occasional overtime. Must be able, available and willing to work more than 40 hours per week, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Travel:
Occasional domestic travel may be required for this position.

- Enroll in NTC’s Welding Technical Diploma program, extended over two years
- Paid instruction, tuition, and travel time
- Students work while attending school and training on the job
- Upon completion of their technical diploma, students must work full-time at BW Papersystems Phillips, WI, for 1 year
- Must maintain a B average or above in all coursework
- First Aid & CPR certification required in the first year

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in welding, metalwork, or manufacturing

- Strong attendance, work ethic, and communication skills
- Must be local to the area and available to work while going to school
