Job Description:
The Supply Chain Intern supports the department team of colleagues to ensure the operations of the supply chain are carried out accurately and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize knowledge and tools to support process improvement initiatives.
- Support the Supply Chain team with priorities and workload.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate fields in the ERP system such as lead time, lot sizes, and manufacturer information.
- Assist with obtaining prints and patterns, if needed.
- Support preparing purchase orders.
- Aid maintaining and monitoring master file and plant-specific files for Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), Certificates of Insurance (COI), and other contractual purchasing documents.
- Support reviewing changes in supplier delivery performance, material and source availability and supplier base activity.
- Assist Supply Chain Team Members and Buyers in searching for new, improved and/or less costly purchase materials and services.
- Participate and contribute to the continued Supply Chain process improvement goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Some knowledge in Infor XA and/or experience in ERP systems is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
