Store Manager - BW Blacksmith Coffee & Grill

BW Blacksmith Coffee & Grill is looking for a hands-on Store Manager who is passionate about hospitality, driven by growth, and ready to lead from the floor—not from an office.

This is a working management position. Our Store Manager is expected to work alongside the team during regular shifts, including jumping into the kitchen, working the line, helping with prep, supporting front of house, and stepping in wherever the team needs them. We believe the best leaders understand every part of the operation because they're willing and able to do the work right alongside their crew.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their store and cares about the details—from the experience our guests receive to labor, food costs, waste, sales, and profitability. You should be someone who sees an opportunity to improve the business and goes after it.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside your team during scheduled shifts, including hands-on kitchen and front-of-house responsibilities.
• Lead by example and be willing to jump into any position when the team needs support.
• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations while maintaining BW Blacksmith standards.
• Build, train, coach, and develop a strong, dependable team.
• Create schedules and manage labor based on the needs and sales of the business.
• Maintain excellent food quality, ticket times, presentation, and guest service.
• Oversee food prep, cooking, food handling, and kitchen organization.
• Manage inventory, ordering, food costs, waste, and product availability.
• Understand the store's numbers and actively work to improve sales and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and increase customer traffic.
• Maintain proper cash handling and POS procedures.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health department standards are consistently followed.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and find solutions that keep guests coming back.
• Create a positive workplace while also holding the team accountable to expectations.
• Communicate openly with ownership and help identify problems before they become bigger issues.

Experience

• Restaurant management or strong restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Hands-on kitchen experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
• Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and managing employees.
• Understanding of inventory, labor management, food costs, and basic P&L.
• Comfortable using POS and restaurant management systems.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
