Job Summary:
The Director of Asset Protection is a leadership role responsible for implementing and overseeing the Asset Protection Strategy for Bulgari North America. This position ensures the safety and security of our retail stores, corporate offices, and company assets, and is accountable for achieving regional shrink goals. The Director will manage complex investigations and drive proactive risk mitigation initiatives. This role requires extensive collaborations with Retail Operations, Internal Control, Human Resources, Legal, and IT security to integrate asset protection seamlessly into business operations and overall risk management.
Responsibilities:
Asset Protection
• Direct and oversee all internal and external investigations related to theft, fraud, and policy violations within Bulgari North America, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate action.
• Ensure the highest level of employee safety and security awareness through comprehensive programs and continuous reinforcement.
• Oversee security and safety planning for all regional brand events, including high-jewelry events, ensuring seamless execution.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with local, regional, and national law enforcement agencies.
• Lead the vendor selection, bidding process, and contract management for all security services equipment, and technology solutions.
• Coordinate with the IT Security with regard to all activities and facilities management of system access control and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
• Verify the compliance of internal security systems to International technical standards and ensure any relevant update.
• Support new store openings for the region.
• Develop and manage an Asset Protection Analyst.
Training
• Develop, facilitate, and champion comprehensive asset protection training programs for boutiques in partnership with Retail Operations, HR, and Internal Control, focusing on security best practices, policy adherence, and general awareness.
Reporting
• Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly comprehensive reports on losses, recoveries, policy violations, and overall program effectiveness.
• Establish a robust and efficient process for critical issues.
Qualifications:
• Experience in a similar retail luxury role of 12 years
• Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
• Working knowledge of Security/Asset Protection affiliated equipment (C.C.T.V., Alarm systems and access control platforms)
• WZ Certified, CFI Preferred
