Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day (5x8) – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Schedule Pattern:
- Week 1: Monday–Friday
- Week 2: Tuesday–Thursday Saturday and Sunday (off Monday & Friday)
- Bill Rate: $32.00/hour
Position Summary
Buzzclan is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to support the Linen Services operations at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient movement of supplies—including receiving, storage, distribution, and delivery—to meet the operational needs of internal departments and clinical teams.
This position is critical to maintaining a smooth supply chain flow within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Specialist will perform duties that include, but are not limited to:
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive deliveries from vendors and verify accuracy of incoming products, quantities, and documentation.
- Inspect shipments for damage, correct labeling, and compliance with facility requirements.
- Maintain appropriate storage of supplies following organizational standards and safety guidelines.
- Utilize inventory management systems to log, track, and monitor stock levels.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO), and regular inventory audits.
Order Fulfillment & Distribution
- Pick, pack, stage, and prepare orders for delivery to internal hospital departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of supplies, linens, and materials to designated areas.
- Load, unload, and transport products using appropriate carts, equipment, or manual handling.
- Maintain efficient flow of products from receipt to delivery within service parameters.
Logistics & Transportation
- Deliver linens, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital campus as assigned.
- Ensure correct routing and documentation for internal and external shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe distribution area to support operational efficiency.
Operational Support
- Follow all department procedures related to product handling, storage, and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and clinical staff to meet supply needs promptly.
- Identify discrepancies or supply issues and escalate to management when necessary.
- Support both manual and automated distribution tasks as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to Prisma Health safety standards, PPE requirements, and material handling protocols.
- Maintain awareness of hazards, workplace safety rules, and infection control measures.
- Participate in all onboarding, training, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, distribution, or a related field.
- Ability to pass an instant drug screen and background check within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and supplies as required (often 25–50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Work Requirements & Expectations
- Onsite position only (no remote work).
- Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable to rotating weekly schedules.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must follow Prisma Health policies related to workplace conduct, dress code, and operational procedures.
