Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Mid-Level Network Engineer who will support mission-critical systems for a federal customer at Fort Meade. This role involves designing, integrating, and maintaining complex IT systems in a secure environment. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Integration
· Develop and implement system architectures and engineering solutions.
· Integrate hardware and software components into cohesive systems.
· Support system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
Lifecycle Support
· Participate in system planning, development, testing, and deployment.
· Maintain system documentation and configuration baselines.
· Support change management and configuration control processes.
Security & Compliance
· Ensure systems meet security requirements and accreditation standards.
· Collaborate with ISSOs and cybersecurity teams to support RMF activities.
· Respond to system vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
Collaboration & Communication
· Work closely with program managers, developers, and other engineers.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership.
