Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workday Integration Developer
to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and
internal/external systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on
experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and other
Workday integration tools, along with a strong background in Oracle E-
Business Suite (EBS). This role requires technical expertise, analytical
thinking, and the ability to collaborate across HR, IT, and business teams.
The Integration Developer will:
· Provide leadership for a team of developers focused on development
of Workday integrations with other enterprise systems serving
finance, human resources, and academic units.
· Coordinate tasks among developers, functional project teams, and
business analysts on the Workday project, as well as with key
members of the Data Strategy, Research Connect (WRAP), and
Student Experience projects.
· Work closely with the Modernization Program PMO to ensure
appropriate prioritization of work and timely completion of project
tasks.
· Collaborate with ITS and business stakeholders to gather
requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
· Lead design and development meetings with team members.
· Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations
independently using Workday Studio, EIB, Orchestrate, and Web
Services.
· Develop and maintain integrations between Workday and other
enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process
alignment.
· Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure
data accuracy and system reliability.
· Ensure integrations comply with security, privacy, and data
governance standards.
· Document integration processes, configurations, and technical
specifications.
· Participate in Workday release management and regression testing
for integrations.
· Mentor other integration developers on best practices using Workday
Studio, EIB, Orchestrate, and Web Services.
· Provide support for Workday-related projects, including
implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
· Is an advocate for and follows established methodology to complete
project deliverables on all assigned tasks within established
deadlines, including all required documentation such as design
documentation, technical specifications, and test plans. Leads all
assigned project resources (internal and external) to accomplish
defined deliverables and objectives. Understands and adheres to
established project management policies and procedures, including
meeting project work plans, status reports, and documentation.
· Works with ITS Project Managers to establish realistic and attainable
project scope, structure, and work plans, and to identify and mitigate
concerns, conflicts, and risks that could impede project
implementation milestones.
· Understands and communicates expectations to all members of the
project team. Establishes positive, professional relationships with staff.
Establishes proper communication channels with project and team
personnel and responds appropriately to all concerns.
· Ensuring that WVU meets its goals and deadlines for large IT projects
and initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The Integration Developer must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and must demonstrate the
following competencies:
· 5 years of experience building and maintaining integrations for
enterprise-wide solutions
· 3 years of experience in Workday integration development.
· 2 years of experience working with Oracle EBS, including data
structures and APIs.
· Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate,
and Web Services.
· Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, and other
integration technologies.
· Experience with Workday security and business process frameworks.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
It is preferred that the Integration Developer have:
· Workday certification in Integration or Studio.
· Workday certification in Orchestrate.
· Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Informatica).
· Familiarity with HR and Finance systems and data structures.
· Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
