Shift: Day, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 AM –15:30 PM)
About the Role
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services / Linen Aides to support linen and laundry operations with one of our client. This non-clinical position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment for staff and patients. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, and prepared to float between EVS and laundry tasks based on unit needs.
Schedule Details
- Primary shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (must be able to work this shift)
- Other possible shifts: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM; 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 5x8 schedule; weekends required
- Schedule assigned weekly
- In-person interviews required
Compensation & Billing
- Base Pay Rate: $17.00/hr (W-2)
- Overtime: 1.25× after 40 hours/week
- Holiday Rate: 1.25×
- Double Time: Not applicable
- On-call / Call-back: Not required
- All orientation hours billable
Job Summary
The Linen Aide is responsible for collecting, sorting, laundering, assembling, inspecting, and distributing clean and soiled linens throughout the facility according to a predetermined schedule. This position ensures a reliable supply of clean linens to clinical units and maintains the safe operation of laundry equipment.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver clean linens to hospital units and restock shelves according to linen quotas.
- Collect soiled linens from units and sort items for processing.
- Assemble, count, fold, inspect, and package clean linens for distribution.
- Sort, weigh, record, and load soiled linens into processing machines.
- Operate standard laundry equipment and maintain a working understanding of its functions.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Assist with inventory and maintain required documentation or logs as directed.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
- Float between EVS and laundry as needed based on staffing and unit demand.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 years of related experience

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching into difficult-to-access areas
- Ability to identify items by color
- Exposure to cleaning agents, chemicals, power sources, and potentially combative individuals
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
- Requires ability to hear and respond to alarms, voices, and equipment signals
- May require sitting or standing for periods over one hour
- Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull up to 100 lbs occasionally and up to 50 lbs frequently
- May require weekend, evening, night, or extended hours
- Duties may include cleaning, minor repairs, filing, and patient-adjacent tasks
Salary : $16 - $17
