Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Performance Analytics, this position provides vendor support for the company. This position is designed as an entry point into retail merchandising and business analytics. The Merchandise Coordinator will receive hands-on training in Target systems, item setup, sample management, retail research, reporting, and vendor support. Successful employees may develop toward a Business Analyst position by demonstrating reporting proficiency, system knowledge, project coordination, analytical thinking, and strong partner communication. In addition to data entry, the role performs duties such as completing line listings, POG setups, sample management and working on special projects. This role interacts with a diverse group of important external clients and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. The Merchandise Coordinator organizes assigned responsibilities within established priorities, communicates potential delays, and escalates questions, conflicting priorities/deadlines, and process concerns to the appropriate team member.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate, receive and unpack vendor sample shipments, deliver to appropriate areas, and process within Target systems.
· Visit various retail stores to photograph new product sets and promotions; complete line listings with POG photos.
· Support item information collection and setup for Target systems with team and vendor partners.
· Maintain and organize office supplies along with storage rooms.
· Support preparation for vendor and client meetings, including room setup and refreshments.
- Support administrator for Partners Online (POL) website with Supplier Management tasks and Greenfield data pulls.
- Support weekly and monthly quantitative and qualitative data reporting.
· Other tasks and analytical projects as assigned.
Required for role:
· 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with internal and external partners.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new systems and follow detailed processes.
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple assignments and communicate when priorities conflict.
· Ability to meet the stated travel and physical requirements: reliable car, ability to lift and move up to 50lbs, and bend or stand as necessary.
Preferred, but not required:
- Retail, merchandising, office, customer-service, internship, or project experience
- Familiarity with retail reporting or item-management systems
- Experience working with spreadsheets, samples, product information, or inventory data
Position Type and Expected Days of Work:
- This is a full-time, hybrid position at our office with local travel and required physical demands of POG building and package management. Days of work are Monday through Friday, in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
