Role Description The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a full-time hybrid position based in Great Neck, NY, with some flexibility for work from home. This role manages a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, handling day-to-day service needs such as policy changes, certificates of insurance, billing inquiries, and coverage questions. The Account Manager collaborates with producers to prepare proposals, review coverage options, and assist with renewals and remarketing of accounts. Responsibilities include responding promptly to client requests, liaising with carriers to resolve issues, monitoring claims activity, and ensuring accurate documentation in agency management systems. The role also involves educating clients on coverage, identifying opportunities to improve their insurance programs, and maintaining high standards of professional communication and customer care.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Coverage and related Property & Casualty products.
- Demonstrated experience in Account Management, including handling renewals, endorsements, and policy servicing.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and respond effectively to inquiries and issues.
- Understanding of Insurance industry practices; familiarity with Employee Benefits is a plus.
- Relevant insurance licenses (such as Property & Casualty) or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe.
- Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and standard office software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and collaborative work style.
- Prior experience in an insurance agency or brokerage environment, preferably in commercial lines.
