About the Role:
The Wealth Manager works closely with Senior Advisors to support the wealth management and financial planning needs of our clients. This position is responsible for providing analytical, planning, and client-service support, including data gathering, case design, scenario modeling, financial plan development, and plan implementation.
- Initiate and respond to client calls regarding planning items, miscellaneous requests, portfolio questions, and general advice as appropriate.
- Perform requested analyses for clients (e.g., mortgage analysis, Social Security planning, etc.).
- Support all aspects of clients’ financial planning needs.
- Conduct research and coordinate with clients’ other advisors (attorneys, CPAs, etc.) to gather the data necessary for analyses.
- Prepare retirement projections, cash-flow analyses, education funding forecasts, insurance reviews, estate flow analyses, and related planning deliverables.
- Identify planning opportunities and areas for improvement based on analysis results.
- Draft comprehensive financial plans.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and collaborate with team members to ensure meetings are thoroughly and accurately organized.
- Attend client meetings; take detailed notes; manage, delegate, and/or complete all follow-up items.
- Liaise with clients’ attorneys and accountants ongoing and as needed.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in financial services, preferably within an independent registered investment advisory (RIA) firm.
- Professional designations such as CFP®, CFA®, CAIA®, CIMA®, or CPA - or active enrollment with anticipated completion within nine months.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with financial planning, CRM, portfolio management, and document management software.
