What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lunch Aide position at Buttons & Bows Childcare?
Overview
We are seeking a lunch aide to join our team of Childcare professionals! In this role, you will be able to prepare meals based off menus and grocery lists, prepare and deliver meals to classrooms, form relationships with children ages 6 weeks -12 years and be apart of an every growing family!
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to showcase their expertise in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. Experience is not necessary however dependability, quality communication and teamwork are crucial .
Duties
- Follow requirements of Buttons & Bows and CACFP (Child/Adult Care Food Program) to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of food quality and safety
- Use pre-made menus or plan, develop, and execute menus following CACFP regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor food production processes (servings sizes and distributing to classrooms)
- Manage inventory and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Coordinate with the director to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
- Assist in classrooms as needed to cover nap time/lunch breaks.
Skills
- Team management capabilities and leadership qualities
- Knowledge of multitasking, organization and managing large-scale food service daily
- Menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen safety techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices including customer service and greeting all families and children when needed.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
