Job DescriptionHandle a caseload of employment, wage-and-hour, and consumer class and representative actions in California state and federal courtsDraft complaints, discovery requests and responses, motions, and legal briefs in complex civil litigation mattersConduct written and oral discovery, including depositions preparation, and gain opportunities to take and defend depositions as you growArgue motions and appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings as assignedAssist with case strategy, legal research, and analysis to support class certification, dispositive motions, and settlementCommunicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel, keeping clients informed and supported throughout the litigation processCollaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage deadlines, filings, and case workflows efficientlyTravel occasionally within California for hearings, mediations, depositions, and other case-related needsQualificationsLicensed to practice law in California, or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the California Bar1-3 years of civil litigation experience, including discovery, motion practice, and some court appearancesPrior experience with class actions, complex litigation, or wage-and-hour/employment law is strongly preferredExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, reliable work history and a genuine interest in plaintiff-side advocacy and workers' rights
