Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tankers and flatbeds, to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from drilling sites
- Assist with rigging operations on oil rigs, ensuring proper setup and securement of equipment for drilling activities
- Conduct routine equipment troubleshooting and mechanical checks on trucks, pumps, and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Support the installation, maintenance, and operation of pumping systems and hydraulic equipment used in drilling operations
- Manage crew activities by coordinating tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection, helmets, gloves, and safety vests at all times during outdoor work
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction equipment to support site development
- Follow all safety procedures related to horizontal drilling, construction site work, and oil & gas operations to maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as tanker or hazmat preferred
- Experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and pump systems in outdoor or construction environments
- Knowledge of pipeline installation processes, rigging techniques, and pumping systems used in oil rig operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Prior experience working on oil rigs or in the oil & gas industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site safety protocols
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety compliance
- Excellent communication skills for crew management and coordination during complex operations
