What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Grader Operator position at BUTLER COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT?
Motor grader operator will be in charge of a specific group of gravel/dirt roads. Operator will maintain roads to specifications, order gravel, clear snow, or debris, off roads. Maintain drainage and report and help repair any drainage structure or signs; will keep roadsides clean of trees, brush, and other obstructions. Operator will be assigned a motor grader which operator will be in charge of including tires, edges, general maintenance, and cleanliness. Duties will be checked on periodically by supervisor or foreman.
Duties also include county wide assistance on all crews, on any different task which the supervisor or foreman request, provided operator has had training on the specific job/crew.
Operator will be responsible for assigned roads and report any problems which may jeopardize public safety as soon as possible to the supervisor or foreman and will be in charge of making sure any problem is flagged and/or barricaded until effective repair is done.
Wage is negotiable depending on experience.
