Position Title
Student Worker: Admissions Ambassador
Job Duties
- Campus tour guide for prospective students and visitors to Butler Community College.
- Assist with all Admissions Office procedures such as data entry, prospective student mailings, preparing recruitment materials, etc.
- Work at special events such as the Kansas State Fair, College Planning Conference, Open House, Graduation, etc.
- Assist other departments with special projects and events.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Butler faculty, staff, and students.
- Maintain positive correspondence with prospective students.
- Must be in good standing with Butler Community College.
- Represent Butler Community College in a positive manner on and off campus.
- Work approximately 15 hours per week (between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. M-F). Work schedule to be coordinated around class schedule.
- Other duties as assigned by the Admissions Staff.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
1. Have good oral and written communication skills.
2. Be able to speak in front of large groups.
3. Have some computer knowledge (Word, Excel, etc.).

Required experience
- Must be enrolled in and successfully complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
- 2.5 or higher in 12 credit hours or more = good standing
- 2.0-2.49 in 12 credit hours or more = probation
- 1.99 or under in 12 credit hours or more = released from job duties
- If on probation, GPA must be above a 2.5 in 12 credit hours or more the next semester.
- Grade checks will be required periodically throughout each semester.
