Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operator to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves mechanical assembly, precision work, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards within a cleanroom setting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with small components, following detailed instructions, and performing hands-on assembly tasks that support cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly using various hand tools, fasteners, and precision torque tools
Assemble machined housings, circuit cards, mirrors, motors, and optical assemblies
Conduct soldering, repair, and inspection of electrical and mechanical systems
Perform detailed hand manipulation including wire sleeving, soldering, and bonding materials
Work safely with approved chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
Obtain and maintain required process certifications
Cross-train in multiple production areas to support daily manufacturing needs
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, cost, and schedule
Work limited overtime as required to meet production demands
Qualifications
Experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly within a manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow strict procedures
Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and soldering equipment
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
Willingness to obtain required certifications
Flexible to support overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Manual dexterity to handle small components and perform fine detail work
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
