Human Resources Generalist

Butler is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in the Shelton, CT area to perform HR job duties and manage critical HR tasks. This position with be hybrid, requiring someone to be local to the Shelton, CT area.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain OFCCP compliance – prepare annual Merit-Based Opportunity program and Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities program, manage monthly outreach, and verify that all new hires and applicants receive notifications

• Manage and process annual EEO-1, VETS-4212 and CA Pay Data reporting requirements and verify that all required information is updated in ADP Workforce Now

• Manage the company Federal Aviation Administration program including required training, annual reports and regular inspections

• Manage the onboarding process

• Manage the background check and drug testing accounts

• Manage all company training that includes mandatory training, employee skills training, and manager development training

• Review, approve, and close out terminations and new hires in the BAA ticket system

• Prepare monthly BAA insurance benefit invoices, request approvals, and notify vendors regarding payments

• Complete and upload weekly reports related to HSA and deferred compensation

• Respond to all company unemployment claims

• Upload company wage garnishments into ADP Workforce Now and monitor status

• Manage employee engagement opportunities

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow and Unanet preferred

• Knowledge of system portal navigation

• Organizational Skills required

• Written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to research state and federal laws

Required education and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in HR preferred

3-5 years of HR experience preferred
