Job Title: Systems Engineer
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification and validation, and operational support of Dragonfly hardware for a cutting-edge future space exploration mission.
Responsibilities
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to understand needs and negotiate assumptions, exceptions, and changes.
- Document requirements and perform requirements validation.
- Allocate and derive lower-level requirements, capture requirements traceability and rationale, manage requirements change, and document requirements compliance and associated risks throughout the development life cycle.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Systems, or Electrical Engineering, with 8-20 years of experience.
Experience
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work well independently and within an integrated product development (IPD) team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and writing and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on a hardware development program, including proposal, development, manufacture, and verification.
- Experience with NASA-based requirements.
- Broad technical engineering knowledge relevant to the design of space flight hardware, including performance, mechanical, electrical, software, safety, materials, and verification requirements.
