This is a hands‑on Quality Engineer role for someone who wants real ownership and real impact in a manufacturing environment. You’ll lead core quality processes end to end—including nonconformance, corrective action, and document control—and partner closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to build, maintain, and improve a practical, audit‑ready ISO 9001 Quality Management System as the business scales.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 6–12 Months
- Nonconformance and corrective action processes are clearly owned, well‑tracked, and closing on time
- Quality documentation is current, organized, and audit‑ready
- Engineering changes and production updates flow smoothly through quality review
- Supplier quality issues are addressed quickly with measurable improvement
- Cross‑functional partners see Quality as a trusted, solutions‑oriented partner
- Own the NCR process end‑to‑end from intake through root cause and closure
- Lead root cause analysis using structured methods such as 8D, 5‑Why, and Fishbone
- Track trends and prevent repeat issues
- Support MRB activities and corrective action effectiveness checks
- Own document control for procedures, work instructions, forms, and records
- Create, update, and maintain SOPs aligned with ISO 9001:2015
- Prepare quality metrics and inputs for management review
- Support internal and external audit readiness
- Participate in design reviews as the Quality representative
- Own Quality approval for Engineering Change Notices
- Track production redlines and ensure proper closure into as‑built documentation
- Maintain design review and quality records
- Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
- Monitor supplier quality performance and trends
- Support incoming inspection activities
- Review supplier quality documentation and certifications
- Support customer audits, meetings, and quality documentation requests
- Analyze customer quality data and trends
- Over time transition internal audit execution in‑house from third‑party support
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
- 3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with NCRs, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Proficiency with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, control plans, and 8D
- Experience with document control and procedure development
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- Experience with UL‑listed products
- Background in electrical equipment, switchgear, or panel manufacturing
- Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software
- Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, or ERP/MRP systems
- ISO 9001 internal auditor training or certification
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor work (approximately 50/50)
- Occasional travel to suppliers or customers (5–10%)
- Some flexibility needed for urgent quality issues
