Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products by reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions.
- Utilize CAD viewing tools (e.g., eDrawings) to reference designs and ensure accurate assembly.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and functionality; identify defects or nonconformities.
- Follow standardized work procedures, quality requirements, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Accurately record production data, including quantities assembled, cycle times, and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems to the Assembly Supervisor promptly.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and care of tools and equipment as assigned.
- Assist with material handling, inventory accuracy, and proper part identification as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, or safety.
- Comply with all company policies, including safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs (or as required).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
