Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote child development and learning.
- Support classroom management by supervising children during play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Provide individualized attention to children, fostering social-emotional growth and positive behavior management.
- Help with classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to maintain a safe and inviting environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and progress.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups, providing consistent care and support across the preschool setting.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and caregivers.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team coordination.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
